We Build Software We're Willing to Own

Skdaddle is a product studio. We build SaaS for regulated, operations-heavy businesses and consumer subscription products — our own and our partners'. We take equity in what we build, or we stay on and operate it.

We Build Like Owners, Because We Are

Skdaddle finds problems worth solving, builds the software, and stays on it after launch. Some products are ours. Others we build with operators who know an industry far better than we ever will.

Either way, we hold a stake in how it turns out. That is why we ship fast, keep the code worth maintaining, and answer for it when something breaks.

Weeks, Not Quarters

First working release in weeks. We put it in front of real users early and improve it from there.

Skin in the Game

We take a stake or we stay on to run it. We do well when the product does, which is a different incentive than an hourly one.

We Learn the Domain

We start from the regulation and the daily routine, whatever the industry. Senior care taught us how much of a product lives in the forms, the turnover, and the audit trail.

What We've Shipped

Two products in market, both built and operated by us.

ClearReport

California RCFEs file LIC 624, 624A, and SOC 341 incident reports that are discoverable in litigation. A CNA writing “we should have checked sooner” at 2 AM creates an admission of fault on the record. ClearReport runs seven categories of liability review before submit, fills the official state PDFs, and writes every edit and approval to a tamper-evident audit log.

Built and operated by Skdaddle. Server-side RBAC, 7-year retention, published subprocessors.

Tether

A shared journal where two people answer the same prompt privately and the entries unlock only once both have written. 1,200+ hand-written prompts, invite-code pairing, collection-based subscriptions, and export to a bound printable volume.

Built and operated by Skdaddle.

How We Work

Validate, build, scale. The same three phases on every product, whether it is ours or yours.

  1. 1

    Identify & Validate

We interview the people doing the work today and map the workflow as it actually runs. Most ideas get cut at this stage, which is the point.

  2. 2

    Build & Ship

A first working release reaches real users in weeks, then ships on a continuous cadence. What those users hit sets the order of everything after.

  3. 3

    Iterate & Scale

We stay on the product after launch — carrying the on-call, paying down the debt, and growing the infrastructure as the load does.

How We Engage

Two ways to work with us. Both leave us holding a stake in how it turns out.

Shared Ownership

Co-Build

For operators with a real problem and no engineering team. You bring the domain knowledge, we build the product, and we co-own the result.

Defined Engagement

Build & Operate

A defined scope with a fixed end. We build it, ship it, and stay on to run it. The product is yours.

Who We Work Best With

We are a fit for a narrow kind of partner. This is what one looks like.

  • You run a regulated or operations-heavy business — distribution, field services, care, professional services, or something adjacent.

  • You know your industry cold — the workflows, the customers, where the money leaks.

  • You have no in-house development team and no appetite to build one.

  • You want a product that earns its keep long after the invoices stop.
